In view of the confusion associated with the introduction Signed Online [very limited operation of the website, problems with the signing of some of the programs] and the possibility of blocking the generation of free certificates [to signing offline - on your home computer] files. Cerium are of deficit. To get your own certificate you should buy the Publisher ID, or find someone who has such an account.

At the forum symbian-freak, but the information appeared on the third way - through a Chinese forum OPDA. The way is a little embroiled, not fully tested, but try if you do not have your own certificate. [Author of the instructions and screenshots Morf is with the symbian-freak forum - the link to the original]

* scrolls the newly opened page click on the link and download the [only works when the type of at least 5 posts]

Sam did not use this method because I have a valid certificate, but apparently it works.
Enjoy browsing the forum for all the Chinese symbiana:)

At present, hardworking people from OPDA generated almost 20tys certificates. Daily doing between 1000 and 2000 new ones. The last number is the 25,620-free so your certificate you will need to wait 3-5 days.

Me and my friend we have sworn with blood which would have been able to shake me to install on my N93i and so far we have tried many .. you make a riassuntino we unpacked the system and with a hex editor, we have replaced it with a nice uid3 in E0000000 all instances where it appeared within the command.

In addition to this we have for the safety forced to uid3 said E0000000 with yamgui plus and we have replaced the folders \ files inside the sis who uid3 as the original name. At this point symbiansigned stopped and we were able to break the certificate. The installation part but hangs around 50% saying "unable to install." I read the pages back to update the header checksum and crc, but how? Unless of coarse some mistakes on our part (which does not exclude a priori) is not in either one or the other ..

Another thing: the system by analyzing the original and amended with sisexplorer we realized that the installation script has changed .. For the record a couple of if in the language is gone (just bad I think ..) and, perhaps most worrying is disappeared another if that takes care of installing a dll if not already present inside the phone. For (perhaps \ hopefully) avoid this problem we extracted this dll from another prog that uses the accelerometer and have placed in the path indicated by the script. Even with this addition the installation continues to hang at 50% then

1 - Do not depend on the handful of pieces of script
2 - The "patch" not a beloved patch

I would be very curious to play on and header checksum, however I need some info on where they are post. Thank you in advance to anyone who will give me a hand!

In order to install the S60 (Symbian), you must certify in your terminal.

The Symbian Signed website allows any person to certify your application, provided that the developer has been accredited to Symbian Signed.

Obviously, this limitation is to avoid that certify crakkate applications. So this procedure may be used only for applications freeware around.

But we come to the point, to certify applications S60 should I do this:

1. Click on Open Signed Online comes out a little form to be filled:

2. Fill out the entire entering:

* Your IMEI (can be found by typing * # 06 # on phone)
* Your Email staff
* The application to be certified (previously stored on your PC)

3. Information Capability in Selected Select all.

4. Enter the code you see in the picture, put the check Accept legal agreement and click Send.

If the whole process goes well and implementation is signabile will return a warning like this:
>

5. Then check your Email.

7. Now wait a few minutes and recheck mail. You will find a mail similar to that of first

8. Click on the link and starts the download of signata!

IMPORTANT: If you get an error like this:

"FAILURE: Submitted. Sis file uses a UID that is not allocated to the account holder matching this email address (0xyyyyyyyy 0xyyyyyyyy 0xyyyyyyyyy)"
>

Means that the application is not signabile.

Introduction
In S60 3rd Edition application development all .sis files must be signed before installing them to a device. When an application requires no capabilities or utilizes APIs which are open to all, you can use the Self Signed certificate. This can be used when testing an application inone’s own device or when shipping the application. Using the Self Signed certificate is recommended for freeware applications using unrestricted capabilities.

Self Signed Certificate
When an application requires no capabilities or utilizes APIs, which are open to all. This can be used when testing an application in one’s own device or when shipping the application.

Note: The application is regarded as Untrusted if signed with the Self Signed Certificate.
This process is recommended for freeware applications using unrestricted capabilities(User grantable capabilities)

Developer Certificate
When testing the application in developer’s own device(s). This certificate is received from Symbian.

The Symbian Developer Certificate can be used by developers to sign their applications in order to obtain the restricted capabilities for device testing. The certificate is restricted to a certain set of IMEIs and the set cannot be changed. There are a few requirements to get a Symbian Developer Certificate.

Symbian Signed
Mandatory if the application is using capabilities beyond the scope of APIs open to all and the application is shipped.

This is the sets of certificates respeected to APIs utilized.
60% of APIs (no restricted certificate)

User-Grantable Capabilities (need atleast self signed certificate)

Sign SIS file
To self-sign the sis file with SISWare you must have the key file(.key) and certificate file(.cer).

The key file and certificate file may be given Symbian Signed Certificate from trusted Certificate Authority such as Verisign

and Symbian Signed or create your own self-sign certificate

To use the SISWare's sign tool, go to menu Tools ---> Digitally Sign Tools.

At Sign SIS File tab, follow these steps.
1. Specifile original SIS to be signed, this file will not effacted by signing process. The result of signing process is the target signed sis file.
2. Specify the target sis file which will create.
3. Specify key file
4. specify certificate file
5. Specify password(if that certificate file encrypted with password)
6. Specify algorithm. If you use symbian tool named makekeys.exe (even use in SISware) to produce key and certificate file, please choose DSA algorithm because that file created with that algorithm.
7. Click Sign button.

If no error occurs the signing will complete with some signature information that given by certificate file that seen from Signing Info box. Then this signed sis file will be able to install to Symbian9.x OS devices.
Create self-sign certificate file

You can create your own key and certificate file to use in signing process and your sis file will be regarded as Untrusted. To create key and certifiate file, go to Create Self-Signed Certificate tab in Digitally Sign Tools window

Selct option create a private key and self signed certificate. Then follow the steps.

1.Specify key file to create.

2. Specify certificate file.

3. Specify common name(issuer) organization unit(name of certificate issued for), country, key length, password, email address and algorithm(DSA default)
4. Click Create button, then SISWare will call makekeys.exe for creation.

When command window(DOS window) appears, please follow the instruction on the screen, it may ask you to provide password or not(if you are not given password yet)
Then it asks you to moving the mouse on the screen or input the keyboard then it collected the data and after that please wait for a while until the window close and the create process completed.

Use these key file and certificate file to self sign your sis file, if you provide the password to make key and certificate file, when you signing with these file you must give the same password.
